22 Landscapes

Landscapes are cultural entities and are expressions of selected visual and spatial relationships. They are distinctive areas that we define visually and may be selected because they are associated with an historic/mythical event, activity, person, or group of people. They range from thousands of acres of rural land to homes with small gardens and include urban neighbourhoods, grand estates, farmlands, public gardens and parks, college campuses, sacred sites, scenic highways, and industrial sites.
